LDAR Programs

INTRODUCTION
LDAR (leak detection and repair) programmes intend to reduce fugitive emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), leading to a reduction in both occupational risk and wastage. More specifically, they aim to: determine the diffuse or fugitive emissions of organic compounds; minimise odour episodes; reduce the risk of explosion as a result of organic-compound emissions; reduce wastage of raw materials or products.

THE Applus+ SOLUTION
The Applus+ experience and knowledge in this field is second-to-none. We have a range of specialist equipment for carrying out LDAR programmes, including infrared cameras for the identification of vanishing points and PIDs/FIDs for detecting and quantifying emissions. We also have a database in which to record and monitor the various LDAR programmes undertaken over time, including the relative emissions levels of each element inspected.
 
We are an environmental inspection agency accredited by ENAC to work in all environmental areas. In fact, Applus+ Norcontrol has been an Authorized Control Agency (or equivalent) for more than 25 years. We always adapt our inspection procedures, aligning them with the appropriate standards for each inspection and pollutant.
