Applus+ IT Laboratory in China receives EMVCo accreditation

Thanks to this recognition, Applus+ can now conduct functional testing on Contact terminals (EMV L2) from both Barcelona and Shanghai laboratories.
Applus+ Laboratories consolidates its position in the payment systems testing market, achieving EMVCo accreditation for its Chinese branch. The IT laboratory in Shanghai has been accredited to perform functional tests on contact terminals payment applications according to EMV L2 specifications.
In the last two years, the Applus+ IT laboratory in Shanghai has been expanding its services and has achieved several key functional testing accreditations such as Visa VCPS for contactless terminals, Visa Crosstesting and GlobalPlatform qualification (Basic Financial Configuration, UICC Configuration, Contactless Extension and Trusted Execution Environment).
Applus+ is constantly increasing its service portfolio, aiming at providing local and effective solutions to the Asian market. To do so, the Shanghai IT laboratory has benefited from the accumulated experience and the incorporation of senior engineers from the Applus+ Barcelona IT laboratory.
Applus+ has more than 10 years’ experience as an EMVCo accredited laboratory, offering testing services to the global market from its headquarters in Barcelona. The Spanish laboratory provides both security and functional testing and its EMVCo accreditation scope covers L1 and L2 type approval test (for contact terminals, cards and mobiles), EMVCo Security Evaluations (for IC, Platforms and ICC with CPA) and EMVCo Site Audits.
